What’s with the cost of Wired Magazine in Canada?
I like Wired – even had a subscription back in the late 90’s. Today, while at wired.com, I saw a banner promoting a year’s magazine subscription for less then $1 an issue.
So I clicked and got this page. Here’s the low-down:
Seeing no option to choose a Canadian address, I was forced to choose the Canada/International option. Now see how things change?
Whoa. $30 more for a Canadian subscription? What’s the reasoning here, folks? Shipping costs? Are we an ocean away?
Looks like I’ll be sticking with my no-subscription! Get stuffed, Wired.

40$ isnt back. the issues are 5.99 each so thats 71$ for 1 year without tax.

This is the page where I found the Canadian price (it IS more reasonable than the International rate, but still 4x as expensive as the US price)
